Naomi Satoh

Naomi is currently a graduate student at the University of Maryland studying Public Policy, with a specialization in International Security and science/technology policy. She has a background in physics and education, which she studied during her undergrad at Illinois State University. She transitioned into policy after doing work in her undergrad relating to nuclear weapons, and started the Next-Generation fellowship with the Physicist Coalition for Nuclear Threat Reduction. She started with work relating to education and personal narratives surrounding nuclear weapons issues, and remains passionate on this topic. Beyond physics and policy, she is passionate about visual arts, and how to find a space where her interests can merge.
