2024 Arms Control Association Annual Meeting

Please join us at our 2024 Annual Meeting, Friday, June 7, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

This year's edition of our annual conference will delve into some of the most pressing arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament challenges facing the nation and the world today.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres will deliver special remarks to our audience via video.

Earlier this year, Mr. Guterres shared his concerns about the resurgence of nuclear threats, noting that "The nuclear risk is higher than at any moment since the depths of the Cold War … And the vital norms and standards against the proliferation, testing, and use of nuclear weapons are being eroded.”

Our keynote speakers will be:

  • Rep. John Garamendi (D-Calif.), member of the House Armed Services Committee, and co-chair of the bicameral Nuclear Weapons and Arms Control Working Group will deliver "A Congressional Perspective on Nuclear Weapons Spending and Arms Control."
  • Pranay Vaddi, Special Assistant to President Biden and Senior Director for Arms Control, Disarmament, and Nonproliferation at the National Security Council will speak on "Adapting the U.S. Approach to Arms Control and Nonproliferation to a New Era."
