Shervin Taheran was a Research Assistant with the Arms Control Association. She was responsible for research and analysis, reporting for Arms Control Today, and writing and updating Arms Control Association online information resources. Shervin also co-coordinated the ACA-Lugar Center Bipartisan Congressional Nuclear Policy Dialogue Project. She was the staff lead for the Arms Control Association’s Project for the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) and was a member of the coordination team for the CTBT Organization Youth Group.

She joined the Arms Control Association in 2014 as Program and Policy Associate, focusing on membership development and outreach and the coordination of ACA events and conferences. Shervin has worked for both Republican and Democratic members of Congress, was a research assistant for the Woodrow Wilson Center, and interned with the National Iranian American Council prior to joining the Arms Control Association. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, where she majored in International Studies and graduated with minors in Arabic and Human Rights.
