Jeff Abramson is a senior fellow for conventional arms control and transfers at the Arms Control Association. He also directs the Forum on the Arms Trade, a global network of civil society experts he helped found in 2015 for strengthening public efforts to address the humanitarian, economic and other implications of arms transfers, security assistance, and weapons use.

Prior to re-joining the Arms Control Association full-time in 2019, he managed the Landmine and Cluster Munition Monitor, the de facto monitoring regime for the Mine Ban Treaty and Convention on Cluster Munitions. Earlier he served as a policy advisor and director to the secretariat of Control Arms, the global civil society alliance that championed the adoption of the Arms Trade Treaty which established global regulations for the trade in a wide array of conventional weapons. He is also the former deputy director of the Arms Control Association and former managing editor of Arms Control Today.

An arms trade and humanitarian disarmament expert, Jeff's work has been published in numerous journals and he has been cited by major U.S. and global media.
