Julia Masterson is a Research Assistant at the Arms Control Association, where she contributes research and analysis, reports for Arms Control Today, and creates and updates Arms Control Association online resources.
She previously held an internship at the National Defense University Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction where she focused on strategic stability by way of bilateral and multilateral treaties, compliance with the Chemical Weapons Convention, and the U.S.-Russian confidence building measure agreements.
She later completed an internship with the Verification Research, Training and Information Centre (VERTIC), where she assisted the Executive Director on qualitative research and geospatial analysis of North Korea’s uranium mining and milling industry and contributed to a long-term project modeling the DPRK’s nuclear fuel cycle.
Julia has a Master’s degree in Non-Proliferation and International Security from King’s College London.
